Superstar Rajinikanth who catered back to back hits with Karthik Subbaraj crime drama Petta and Shankar’s sci-fi hit 2.0 is all set for his upcoming film Darbar. With this Thailavar re-unites with AR Murugadoss for the very first time and the shooting of the film proceeded on April 22. Recently, Rajinikanth and co-star Nayanthara was filming for Darbar in a Mumbai college.
Rajinikanth as Police
Rajinikanth was spotted wearing khakhi and it was speculated that Superstar is all set to play a police officer after a long time in this film.
Now, Lyca Productions have officially revealed the titled and the first-look poster of the film, which have confirmed the speculations. Rajinikanth is playing the role of an IPS office in the film, which is titled Darbar.
Second Time With Nayanthara
Collaborating with actress Nayanthara for the second time, Rajinikanth is currently shooting the Tamil language movie in Mumbai. And a source close to the development of the film hints at his role, saying, “The film comprises of action, thrill and drama. And Rajiinikanth, probably, plays a role of an encounter specialist.”
The Mass First Look
The first look of superstar Rajinikanth's next film titled 'Darbar' was released Tuesday, with the poster indicating that the AR Murugadoss directed flick could be a cop film.
The poster carried a catchy punchline "you decide whether you want me to be good, bad or worse," and was splashed with paraphernalia attached to the police, including an IPS shoulder pin, a handcuff, a couple of guns and a police dog.
Darbar Hindi Dubbed
A long stint of shoot has been completed in various locations, including Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Royal Palms, and Film City among others. “The set of main Zero room (Investigation Room) has also been erected in St. Xavier’s College,” informs our source. Moreover, the film directed by A.R.Murugadoss will also be dubbed and released in the Hindi language.
